Our passion for dogs is evident in everything we do, from pick-ups to providing lots of exercise and affection! At Everglade Dog Sitters, we treat your dog as if they were our own, and we are committed to providing them with the very best one-on-one care possible.
WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
As previous dog owners, we know how special your dog is to you. At Everglade Dog Sitters, we treat your dog as if they're our own. We offer one-on-one care for your furry friend to ensure they receive all the attention and exercise they need to stay healthy and happy. Our lifestyle revolves around movement. It is not only important to us but we prioritize it - this is demonstrated with our daily walks ranging from
5 - 12 km. This is of course tailored to your dog's size, physical needs, and sometimes due to the weather.
OUR HOME
At Everglade Dog Sitters, we provide a comfortable and peaceful dog oasis free of smoke and other pets. Although we've had dogs in the past, we currently do not have any of our own. We love to be able to share our home and lifestyle with your family dog and treat them like our own. Our focus is on keeping your dog healthy and active, which means plenty of outdoor movement time for pups of all sizes. Say goodbye to traditional over-stimulating kennels and hello to a serene home away from home.
SONJA & JIM
At Everglade Dog Sitters, Sonja and Jim, bring their own unique skills and expertise to the team. Sonja, a Registered Massage Therapist, provides extra love and care to your dog and is our main dog walker, while Jim, provides day time companionship for your dog with shorter walks and pee breaks. This allows us to avoid crate use (unless your dog comes with one). Together, we offer a complete schedule of morning, afternoon and evening walks for your furry friend.

DOG WALKING
Our one-on-one dog walking service is designed to give your furry friend the exercise and attention they need to thrive! We offer walks billed in 60-minute blocks that take place in your neighbourhood, so your dog can get the exercise they need close to home. We know schedules can be busy so we're happy to assist checking this one extra "to-do" off your list!

DOGGY DAY CARE
Looking for a doggy daycare that provides your furry friend with all-day love and attention? Jim is able to provide your dog with constant companionship throughout the day. And because we only accept one dog at a time, you can be rest assured that your dog will receive all the love and attention they deserve! We have flexible pick up times for your convenience.
1-5 hrs $30 ($45 for 2 dogs)
5-9 hrs $50 ($75 for 2 dogs)
9+ hrs will be charged our 24 hr rate
VACATION PET SITTING
We understand that leaving your dog behind while you go on vacation can be tough. That's why we offer Vacation Pet Sitting services with a personal touch. We take great care of every dog, providing them with a comfortable and loving home environment. With Jim at home during the day, your dog won't ever be lonely. We provide all the care and walks your dog needs, with no limitations or extra fees. Your pet will be treated like family, and will receive plenty of cuddles!

My first impression of Sonja was professional to say the least. She wanted to meet the dogs in a common area so they got to know her without feeling intimidated or pressured. Even though Maui was a little shy at first, Sonja was incredibly patient with her. She would walk both of my dogs together and treat them to frozen fruit on hot summer days which they loved! Sonja and Jim are amazing! They watched our 40 pound Labradoodle Cooper for a few nights while we were away on vacation, and it was a great experience . Cooper has some separation anxiety, so naturally we were a bit hesitant to leave him with anyone other than our family. They went above and beyond by letting us bring him for a visit ahead of time to see the house and meet them. While he was there, Sonja took him for long walks ( which he loved ), they gave him lots of loving, sat with him to get him to eat, and they sent us picture updates ( which helped settle my own nerves about how he was doing). We will 100% be asking them when we need a dog sitter again! Would recommend their services to anyone who wants top notch care for their fur baby!
